About pdf to excel
This pulls tables out of a PDF and into a real spreadsheet, with each table on its own sheet so you can sort, filter and total the numbers immediately.
It finds tables by looking for the ruling lines that draw them. That works well on invoices, bank statements, price lists and financial reports — documents where the table has visible borders. A table laid out purely with spacing and no lines is much harder to detect reliably, and the tool will tell you it found nothing rather than hand you a spreadsheet full of guesses.
Cell values arrive as text so nothing is mangled in transit; Excel will offer to convert the number columns when you open it.
Questions about pdf to excel
It says no tables were detected — why?
The tool looks for tables drawn with ruling lines. If your table is laid out with spacing alone, or the page is a scan, there is nothing for it to lock onto. Use PDF to Text to get the raw content instead.
Will my formulas come across?
No. A PDF contains only the final printed values — the original formulas were lost when the PDF was created, so no tool can recover them.
What if my PDF has several tables?
Each one gets its own sheet, named after the page and table number, so a ten-page statement stays organised.
